If you've missed out on the academic year of group classes and don't want to wait until September 2023 to take a beginner's course, this is the option for you! Join us for your first dive into professional jewelry making. This class is designed to introduce you to the bench, tools, and basic techniques of making silver jewelry! Private beginners class is designed for one person at their own pace. Often students would like to start ASAP, rather than wait for the next group session, or complete their 5 projects over a day or two rather than 7 weeks. We try not to put hours or session limits on the private class because it's based on your learning speed. We've designed a course to increase your comfort and skills with each session. This class is project-based. We've designed specific rings, earrings, and bracelets to help us teach you these skills. You'll create five projects at your pace. You'll learn to use pliers, files, a jeweler's saw, hammers, a soldering torch, and how to heavy bezel set stones. All projects are completed in sterling silver with semi-precious stones, and all tools & materials are included in the cost of your class. Students should show up in workshop apparel, and we will take care of the rest! If you'd like to complete your projects in 14k yellow gold, please inquire about add'l costs. Once completed, this course will open up the world of jewelry design and allow you to take any other workshop or lesson at Marquis Jewelry Academy. Make-ups are allowed and easy to re-schedule; please avoid no-call/no-shows. To sign up: pick a 3-hour timeslot 9-12, 1-4, 5-8, or 6-9 for your first session. We will schedule the rest of your sessions during class; the private beginner's projects usually take students 12-15 hours to complete.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us 48 hours in advance for studio credit. No-call-no-shows will be forfeited.
