Intro to Ingots & Milling

Service Description

This is a 3 hour, one-time workshop Currently available: Sunday 6/4 9-12 (FULL) Thursday 6/29 6-9 (Full Private) If you are interested in another date, please reach out. Students will learn to melt metal scraps in a crucible with a torch and then pour them into an ingot mold. After students will mill wire or sheet metal from their ingot. We will also demo and discuss other methods and ways to utilize these new milled materials. This is a technique-based class where students will have materials at the end of their course, *not* a finished wearable. Silver scrap will be provided for melting. Students may bring their own sterling silver, or yellow gold to melt and mill. These materials can be used for future projects or custom designs.
