Course Dates: Sunday Mornings, 9–12 Start Date: September 7 End Date: October 19 7 weeks in duration 3 hours per session Make-up scheduling available within reason --- Course Overview: This course is designed for students who have completed our beginner series (or an equivalent) and are ready to deepen their bench skills while exploring more ambitious designs and techniques. All tools are available, and base materials are included, with optional opportunities to upgrade and work in gold. Unlike the beginner course, this series is project-flexible. I’ll present several intermediate-level project options, and the group will vote to determine 2–3 builds for the session. I’ll recommend a first project to get us started, and from there, each student will follow the same lesson structure, but bring their own design perspective to the work. Expect to grow your skills in areas such as: Soldering precision and multi-part construction Bezel, flush, and prong setting Working with gold and mixed metals Design planning and fabrication strategy Finishing techniques that elevate your craftsmanship Whether you’re building a portfolio, refining your personal style, or exploring new materials and forms, this course offers the technical depth and creative freedom to help you grow. --- Course Benefits: This intermediate experience prepares students for more advanced workshops, stone setting intensives, and specialty courses at Marquis Jewelry Academy.
