Our client Leslea had been gifted some charm bracelets by her mother, who'd collected the pieces over the years.

Mom wasn't sentimentally attached, and Leslea wanted something she could wear and pass down eventually.

We'd created a few custom & semi custom pieces for her @emilymarquisdesigns and our Rolo Chain was high on her list, so we offered to do it as a lesson.

When our designs are what I'd consider "classic" I have no qualms teaching them to students!

With a busy schedule it took Leslea just over a year (really about 35-40 hours) to complete this 24 inch chain.

She melted the charms and created ingots.

Milled those ingots to 1.5mm square wire

Drew that wire into 1mm round wire

Coiled the wire into jump rings, sawed them out and began assembling and soldering.

230 links.

She also took a few workshops and created a gold spinner ring and gold trinity band from the heirloom gold, and we will be creating an anti-clastic cuff next!

We jumped off the deep end on this one, and I'm so glad to see it finished and worn daily.

Her Mom loved seeing her learn something new and make it her own!

If you're interested in creating some unique pieces, we have private lessons, group open studio, wedding band and engagement ring workshops available year round, as well as group beginners and intermediate lessons during the academic year.
